Why do you have a Goodness Standard?
While we face challenging issues around the world, those challenges serve as a motivator for problem-solving and innovation. They also act as a reminder that when a business operates outside an ethical and sustainable framework, the detrimental impact is felt by all.
What is in the Goodness Standard?
It is pretty straightforward really. Our Goodness Standard is based on the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, a principle-based approach to doing good business (see table below).
The Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact summarises the fundamental responsibilities from the following 4 documents:
- the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,
- the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work,
- the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and
- the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.
